This discussion starter requires you to get your group doing an activity!

1 – Buy or make some gingerbread people and get your young people to design or decorate them. You can let them go freestyle or give them a brief like ‘design what the ideal person looks like’

2 – Discuss the decoration of these gingerbread people. Did the young people feel the need to create a gingerbread person that ‘impresses’?

3 – What pressures do you feel to ‘fit in’ or ‘impress’? What influences this?
