Required: Friends season 8 DVD (and means of playing it), pens, paper, flip-chart, OSBD Sex Video,

Opening: Disclaimer – It’s important to emphasise the importance of keeping what is said in this session within the group, this way the young people will feel more open for discussing things

Ice Breaker What are the 3 most important qualities in a boyfriend/girlfriend

Had you appeared on the TV programme Blind Date what would your three questionss have been?

Read:
Genesis 2:18 – 26 – God creates woman!

Say:
Relationships are God’s idea!

Read
‘And said, for this cause, shall a man leave his father and mother and he shall cleave to his wife and they shall be one flesh’

Matthew 19:6 – ‘Wherefore they are no more twain but one flesh, what therefore God hath joined together let no man pull apart

Explain: Cleave means to be glued together, when you glue things together you don’t intend on them coming apart.

Agony Aunt Exercise:
Split the group into boys and girls and get them to answer the agony aunt/uncle letters which are downloadable with this resource

Prior to this clip ask the group to be thinking about the issues in the clip and what they think of the image of sex portrayed in the clip

Follow-Up Let them chat about the clip!

To Finish Have a time of prayer, perhaps praising God for girls/guys/sex etc, ask for wisdom in relationships, self control and to put Him first.
