We are looking for a youth worker who will enhance the delivery of youth provision providing the link between local church and St Mary’s Youth Project. This is a full-time post, joining an exciting project in a rural town.
We are looking for a qualified youth worker who is passionate about relational work, displaying Jesus in a relevant and contemporary way to young people. The successful applicant will be based in the community and will be the link between the church and the Youth Project. The youth worker will be expected to deliver youth club sessions, one-to-one sessions, schools work, Sunday youth services and to support our youth and family worker delivering bushcraft and rock climbing sessions – No prior experience of climbing and bushcraft are necessary, just a desire to learn. The work will predominantly be with young people aged 10 to 19. You will be responsible for face-to-face delivery with young people, running our Hub drop-in’s, life groups and regular youth-focussed services. This post is initially a fixed term three-year contract, with a 6 month probationary period.
